The 2011 Schools Conference was held in Room P514 in the Graham Hills Building, Richmond Street, University of Strathclyde. |

The annual ASLS Schools Conference is a vital resource for teachers wishing to explore Scottish literature and language in the classroom. The conference will contribute at least 8 hours of CPD in areas of language and literature across the curriculum.

- Alan Riach is a poet and is Professor of Scottish Literature at the University of Glasgow.
- Liz Niven is a writer and poet, and has produced several collections to support Scots and English language work in schools.
- Kevin O’Connor is Qualifications Development Manager for English and Gàidhlig at the SQA.
- Graham Williamson is Qualifications Development Consultant for English and Gàidhlig at the SQA.
- David Manderson is a lecturer in Creative Writing and Screenwriting at the University of the West of Scotland.
- Alistair Scott is Subject Group Leader for Photography, Film and Television at Edinburgh Napier University.

- ASLS Member’s rate: £25.00
(all bookings include tea/coffee and lunch)
Publishers, booksellers and academic organisations will all be present at the
conference. Free parking is available in the Graham Hills external car park (enter
from George Street).
