    Having concentrated in the 1980s on exegetical treatments of seventeenth-century French dramatists, especially Molière, and publishing studies of plays and scholarly editions, I have more recently been working in the field of staging, intercultural studies and cinematic adaptations of dramatic works. Forthcoming publications include Molière sous les feux de la rampe and Molière On and Through the Screen and The Conceptual Crisis in Contemporary French Theatre.
