Toni Morrison at Glasgow - 25th May 1998

Toni Morrison meets students and staff at Glasgow University

Toni Morrison, the Nobel and Pulitzer prize winning author of such novels as Beloved, Tar Baby, Sula, Jazz and Paradise, visited the University of Glasgow in May of 1998, where she met with students and staff for a reception in the University's Melville Room.

Following the reception Professor Morrison gave a reading and led a discussion of her work before a capacity audience in the Bute Hall. "Her presence filled the room," commented one student after the event.
